The last thing anyone wants is patchy or streaky self tan ruining their vibe! So here are our tips and tricks on how to even out your sun-kissed glow for a flawless finish every time.
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE PREP
Exfoliating 24hrs prior to fake tanning is one of the best ways you can reduce any chances of your tan streaking as it removes dirt and any dead skin cells. Our ‘Crazy Angel Body Polish’ is perfect for giving you a smooth flawless base, ready for your tan application. You should also lightly exfoliate a few days after applying your fake tan to help keep on top of any dry stubborn areas where the tan is starting to gather.
AVOID HOT SHOWERS
Having a hot shower can accelerate your tan fading and going patchy so try to keep it cool! We recommend waiting at least 4-6 hours before washing off your ‘Crazy Angel Tan’ to allow it time to properly develop – the longer you leave it, the deeper your tan will be. Try and be gentle when you shower and only use oil-free cleansers as oils can break down tan, leaving your skin patchy and streaky.
NO HARSH CHEMICALS
We are talking about things like chlorine or acids, which can strip your tan and result in patchiness or streaking. So, during your tanning time avoid these as much as possible so you can maintain that flawless sun-kissed glow!
FILL IN THE GAPS
If you do find your tan has started to go streaky, exfoliate the area to remove the bits that are patchy and lightly reapply your fake tan to the area using our super soft ‘Crazy Angel Tanning Mitt’. Sometimes it’s easier to fill in the gaps than try to remove all your tan – just make sure you apply lightly and blend, blend, blend!
USE A BLENDING BRUSH
Hands and feet are notoriously difficult to perfect and usually the first area to go patchy. The best way you can avoid this is to use a blending brush; really working it into the skin so it fully absorbs. Maintain this by consistently moisturising as these are both areas that are prone to dryness. Our ‘Crazy Angel Blending Brush’ is perfect for achieving a flawless streak-free finish.
