How long does Crazy Angel take to develop?
Crazy Angel self-tan will develop within 4-8 hours. For best results, we would recommend that the tan is left on overnight and washed off in the morning.
How long will the tan last?
The life of the tan is dependent on the condition of the skin. On average a Crazy Angel tan will last 5-10 days.
How do I prep for my self-tan?
Get exfoliating! Our Body Polish will buff away any dry skin giving you the perfect base for tanning, but it also has colour correcting properties that will cancel out any orange tones and uneven skin tone.
If you chose to remove any unwanted body hair, make sure you do this 24 hours prior to application. Waiting until just before applying can cause the tan to sink into open pores resulting in an uneven finish.
It is important that you remove any old tan that might be left on your skin. The Crazy Angel Tan Eraser is designed to gently and effectively remove tan to reveal a fresh base for tanning. It also contains Salicylic Acid that will provide gentle exfoliation to drier skin.
How do I maintain my tan?
Hydration is the key to a longer lasting glow so make sure you moisturise, moisturise, moisturise! Now that you have your flawless tan you will want to keep your glow for as long as you can. We recommend patting yourself dry after showering rather than rubbing to ensure you are not removing any tan. Lightly exfoliate with the Crazy Angel Body Polish every 2-3 days. Check out our tips on how to maintain self-tan.
Should I perform a patch test?
If you have sensitive skin, we recommend patch testing 24 hours prior to applying.
What product should I go for?
Picking the perfect tanning product for your skin is so important - we are all different and want different things from our self-tan. If you are unsure on what shade would suit you best, get in touch and we help colour match you!
Do Crazy Angel products contain UV protection?
Crazy angel does not contain an SPF and therefore does not protect the skin from the sun.
Is it safe to self-tan while pregnant?
We would recommend that you consult your doctor before doing so. If new mums are breastfeeding, it is important not to tan on the chest area.
Can I go swimming after self-tanning?
Chlorinated water can prematurely fade the tan, therefore going for a swim, even after the tan has developed may cause it to fade quicker.
How do I remove self-tan?
Our tans will fade like a natural tan but if you are looking for a quicker removal, we recommend our Tan Eraser. This acid-based exfoliator works to gently remove any self-tan build up, but it is also great for any self-tan fails that you want gone in a flash!
How long after the application process should I wait before exercising?
We recommend that any activities which cause you to perspire are avoided until the tan has fully developed.
